About the event

The River Run 8K offers a unique experience for all levels of runners and walkers at a popular, but uncommon race distance!  Located in the very heart of OKC, the River Run 8K promotes youth sports participation, health, wellness and distance running within OKC's urban core.  Join us on November 4 as we race to the Wheel!

The River Run starts and finishes at the iconic Wheeler Ferris Wheel and follows a flat and fast out and back East/West course along the South OKC River Trail. Runners will enjoy spectacular views of downtown OKC, OKC Riversport, the Oklahoma River and more along the scenic route.  The route is USATF certified.*  Awards for overall and masters male and female winners and top three in age groups.

Early packet pick-up is 3:00-6:00pm, Friday November 3rd at OKCPS Athletics Offices, OKCPS Operations Facilities, Bldg 3, 2734 Miramar Blvd., OKC, OK 73111.  Packets available morning of race.  Parking is in the Wheeler Ferris Wheel lot with overflow parking in the fields just to the west.
