About the event
The Mug Run series, initiated in 1993 by LASAA, was originally for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department employees and law enforcement personnel. It has since opened participation to the general public, growing from an initial average of 10 runners to over 300. The event promotes health, fitness, and camaraderie while encouraging friendly competition and positive interactions between law enforcement and the community. Participants receive a T-shirt on race day, and early registration is recommended to avoid increased fees.
