The organizers need to address some crucial issues. Foremost, and perhaps most importantly, the race must start at the planned time, not 20 minutes later. This year, the 21k and 42k races began at 08:50 instead of the scheduled 08:30, which can be disheartening. It negates your warm-up efforts and disrupts your nutrition plans. Secondly, there were no available restrooms throughout the course, except at the start. Unfortunately, with a stomach upset, finding restrooms along the course proved impossible. I had to deviate from the route and find an alternative spot. Thirdly, the absence of provided pins to attach the bibs was unexpected. Spending hours searching for pins a day before the race was an inconvenience I hadn't encountered before. On a positive note, the event had a great location and an inspiring crowd. The initial 5-6 kilometers of the lap (1 lap for the half marathon and 2 laps for the full) were slightly challenging with some hills, but the tarmac was smooth. The weather, although warmer than ideal, added a unique touch to the marathon. Among the positives, the water provided at stations was in bottles, a significant advantage compared to races where water is served in paper cups. Of course, had it not been for the stomach upset, I might not have even noticed the absence of restrooms along the course, but it is what it is.

21k is a 1 lap with total elevation gain of 96 metres (information is from my Garmin). First 5-6k are a little more challenging due some hills compared to the rest of the course.
