Who Cyclists, gravel riders, endurance riders, What Race and Tour of various distances. Along with food, beverages and live entertainment. When September 17th, 2022 Where Wines of The San Juan https://goo.gl/maps/tg5QLNYZ6NQrznv88 Race or Tour your bicycle through the canyons and washes of Northwestern New Mexico. Starting and finishing at Wines of the San Juan the route takes you on parts of the "Original Route" of the Spanish Trail. Fast, dynamic, sandy and ruff roads should be expected on the ride. There will be: 3 Aid Stations for the 65-mile route, 2 Aid Stations for the 40-mile route 1 Aid Station for the 15-mile distance. You will also receive: a HOLY GRIT Shirt an Event Poster and a Iocal lnspired meal while enjoying Local Musicians Participants will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to start a bank account at: First Southwest Bank for a $100 if you already bank with them, you will find another $100 in your account. There is the option to hang around after riding to eat, enjoy WINE, MUSIC and relax. Need to Know: There is limited cell service in the area... please keep this in mind as this is a wilderness setting in the terms of rescue. Riders MUST ride on the right side of the road and be aware of other road users. Be careful for industry workers and other people using the roads, they are NOT closed during our event. Although the traffic will be less being that it is a weekend, please be aware that there is other road users out there to be cautious of. MANDATORY navigation device of some sort to help riders avoid confusion. The course will be marked but due to how easy it is to get turned around out there and lack of cell service we require all riders to have a navigation device with the route downloaded. Deadline to get a t-shirt and meal is September 1st. Sunday: "Book a Tour" with one of our local guides at Aztec Adventures and visit a few Pueblito's along with a visit to Crow Canyon Petroglyphs. (limited spots available, must book in advance) Schedule Friday: All day, course marking4:30pm Campers show up (must book with Wines of San Juan) Saturday: 7:30-9:30am packet pickup9:45am racing starts. Long course riders go first. Pace Car escorted past Hwy 6410:15 Short course riders leave.
