Forsyth Family Fest 5k, 1 mile, & Tot Trot

The Forsyth Family Fest Race has an event for everyone! The Kids Run is an untimed out and back 1/2 mile fun race for kids 10 and under. The 1 mile  run/walk Donut dash is also an untimed and you will stop to eat donuts midrace. The 5K  or 1 mile run/walk is chip timed, and the loop course runs on sidewalks and a bike/walk path through Forsyth parks.

The Forsyth Family Fest Race has an event for EVERYONE!  This year, Sunshine Supplies for Teachers, a new educational nonprofit, has taken on this race with proceeds going to support teachers and school districts in Macon and Piatt counties.  We have four different races this year to choose from, along with raffle prizes, swag bags, a costume contest, and a school supply drive.  Anyone who brings a school supply item to donate will be in a special raffle.

Race #1:  Kids’ Run - an untimed, ½ mile race for kids 10 years of age and younger, race will be 

                on sidewalks.  Prizes awarded for best costumes male and female.

Race #2:  1 mile run/walk - an untimed race will be on sidewalks

Race #3:  5K - chip timed, a loop course that runs on sidewalks and the bike/walk path through 

                the park 

Race #4: Big Hungry’s Donut Fun Run – an untimed, unhinged 1 mile run that has runners 

                running to eat a donut half way through the race.  Ages 10 and up can participate in

                this run.  A limited number of runners will be allowed for this event.  Make sure to sign 

                up EARLY!  Prizes awarded for most creative individual and team outfits.    

Parking:  Lot A off of Weaver Road, or lot C off of Forsyth Parkway.  Restrooms and water stations available at start/finish and along the race route.  Big Hungry’s Daylight Donuts, snacks, and beverages will be provided after the race.

5K Awards:  First three places in each age division* and overall male and female winners will receive awards.  Overall male and female winners will be eliminated from their respective age group.  All participants age 10 and under will receive participation medals.  

Age Group Divisions (Both Genders):

10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+

Fees:  5K-$30 if registered before May 29, 2024, $35 after June 1st; 1 mile $20; Kids Race $10; Fun Run $30.  No day of late registration for the Fun Run!  Participants of all races are guaranteed a short sleeved t-shirt if registered by May 29, 2024.
