ABP Southampton Marathon

The ABP Southampton Marathon Festival is one of the largest running events on England’s South Coast, drawing over 10,000 participants across the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. All races start and finish at Guildhall Square and follow fully closed roads. The course features a mix of coastal views, city landmarks, and green spaces—runners cross the Itchen Bridge with wide views over Southampton Water, pass through Southampton Common and Riverside Park, and run through St Mary’s Stadium, home to Southampton FC. Live music and coordinated cheer points are placed throughout the course, while the Race Village hosts entertainment and athlete services. The event supports multiple charities and offers structured training plans to help runners prepare effectively.
