Roy's Kids 5k

A 501c non-profit charitable organization for the Shreveport/Bossier area.  Our primary goal is to help hard working single parents with limited income to be able to give their children the things that’s hard for them to provide. To help assist the needs of their children with gifts at Christmas as well as throughout the rest of the year.  No Act of Kindness, however small, is ever Wasted!   Date & Starting Time: Saturday December 7th, 2024.  1/2 Mile Fun Run at 8:00 a.m., 5k at 8:15 a.m.

 

Location: Betty Virginia Park

 

5k Registration:   $30.00

$30 Registration includes a short sleeve shirt. If you would like a long sleeve shirt $5.00 will be added to your entry when you select a long sleeve shirt size.

Race day Registration is $40.  Please bring an unwrapped toy to the race for the kids. 

 

Kids 1/2 mile Fun Run is Free for Kids 12 & Under** No Shirt for Free Entry. You must sign up for the 5k to receive a shirt.   Phantom Runner: If you cannot be there but still would like to show your support, sign up as a Phantom Runner. Registration fee for “Phantom Runner” is $20 Phantom runners do not receive a shirt.   REGISTER EARLY! No shirts guaranteed to late registrants. You must register by November 7th to guarantee your shirt size.
  T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up:  Every pre-registered participant will receive an original “Roy’s Kids 5k” t-shirt. Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum, Thursday, December 5th from 12 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 6th from 10 a.m.- 5:30 pm.,  You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the Race Site at 7:00am.   Awards:  Overall male & female winners will receive $100 cash, Overall runner up male and female will receive $50 cash.  Additionally, 1st & 2nd Place in each of the age groups will receive an award.   Age Groups: 11-under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+    Post Party: Stick around for food and drinks after the race.    Special Note: Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation!
