Miles For Mutts Presented by To Love a Canine Rescue

Welcome to our 9th Annual Miles for Mutts 5k Race & 1 Mile Fun Walk Presented by To Love a Canine Rescue!

Our Annual Miles for Mutts 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk fundraiser is back! This event has been one of our biggest & most fun fundraisers. The proceeds from this event will benefit TLC Rescue’s life-saving mission to give dogs in need a better tomorrow.  

We'll have race t-shirts, prizes for top individual fundraisers, medals for the fastest runners, a costume contest, and more!

Whether you choose to run, walk or you're just in it for the T-Shirt, you'll be saving lives! Your race fee* will directly impact dogs in need from feeding a foster dog for a week, covering the cost of a vaccination for a puppy, offering a week of Heartworm treatment to a dog who may not be rescued otherwise, or supplying a pregnant momma dog with the supplies she needs to whelp a brand new litter of puppies. 

 
How does it work:

Miles for Mutts is a hybrid 5k run / 1 mile walk: choose how you want to participate - In-Person OR Virtually!

In Person:
This event takes place on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Wilson Farm Park in Wayne, PA.  The race officially starts at 9:00 AM.  

5k Run - Race to compete for the best time in waves with other runners! (dogs are welcome!)1 Mile Walk - Enjoy a 1 Mile Walk around the beautiful park with your friends, family, and DOGS!

Virtually:

Complete a 5K (3.1 Miles) run/walk(s) any time between October 1st & October 22nd!  No need to complete the entire 5k at once!  You can break it up any way you choose -- Race to compete for the best 5k time, try running with your dog, go for three 1-mile runs, add up the mileage from all of your dog walks, etc. To our serious runners who are already running marathons / half marathons - consider dedicating your first or last 3.1 miles to the pups of TLC Rescue! Track your time using the Race Joy App! (More details below!)Register for the Race between now & October 22nd at 8:30 AM EST.

Pricing: 

Registration Opens on August 14th at 9 AM and runs through race day, October 22nd, at 9 AM!  No refunds will be given.

Early Registration: Monday, August 14th (9 AM) - Friday, September 22 (11:59 PM)
Signing up for early registration guarantees you a T-Shirt and a $5 discounted race price for in-person racing!
5k Runners: $35
1 Mile Walkers: $25
Virtual Participants: $35

Regular Registration: Saturday, September 23 (12 AM) - Sunday, October 22 (8:30 AM)
Shirts will not be available for participants who register during this time.
5k Runners: $40

Where is this Race?

In-Person - Wilson Farm Park, Wayne PA

Virtually - You can complete your race when and where you choose!  In your neighborhood, at a local park, at the school track, or running in the yard with your dog as he fetches, the possibilities are endless!

 

Fundraising:

Consider being a fundraiser for TLC to win some great prizes! When you reach the "Fundraising" page during registration, simply click "Become a Fundraiser" to set up your individual fundraiser! You can create a fundraiser for each person in your registration transaction. Add an image, write your story, and share the fundraiser wherever you want! You'll receive an email after you sign up with your fundraising information and an opportunity to make changes if you choose!

Just for registering, you will receive the 9th Annual 2023 TLC Miles for Mutts T-Shirt. Participants must register by September 22nd to guarantee their shirts.
In-person racers will receive a bandana from our top sponsors & a swag bag as well!

Track your Time:

We've partnered with the RaceJoy app to track your time!  Here is a short step-by-step guide to tracking your run in the RaceJoy application.  
***Please note you must be registered for the 5k in order to use the RaceJoy app.***
1)   Download Racejoy from the App Store on your mobile device.
2)   Search “Miles For Mutts” in the “Search Races” menu bar.
3)   Select “I want to be tracked” and follow the prompts to create a profile.
4)   Select your course as “Anywhere 5k”, enter your bib number & confirm your profile.
5)   Set up tracking by following the prompts to select the device you will carry with you during the run.
You’re done!
 
Be sure to open the app on your chosen run day and turn tracking on by clicking the “Track Me” button.  
Think you can do it better?  You can re-do your race as many times as you want!
 
Receive virtual cheers along the way!  Tell your friends and family to sign in to RaceJoy as spectators and click on the “I Want To Track Someone” button so they can follow along as you make your way through your course.
