The 2024 DragonSlayer Classic

The infamous Dragonslayer is back for 2024 with the traditional format of either you finish or you do not.  It will be the seventh installment of this monster! Time will be kept, but there will not be an official podium. The one, two, or three lap options still exist, but there is a fourth option: the 100. This involves completing your 3x30 mile triple lap and then riding a 10-mile kicker out-and-back to get to the 100-mile mark. The trail is, as usual, absolutely and yet deliciously brutal.

Single lap finishers get the experience of having completed one of the harder trail rides in Texas.

Double lap finishers get all of the above plus the coveted rock trophy of a Dragon-Master

Triple lap finishers get the rock trophy of a Dragon-Slayer

Finishers of the 100, get their rock trophy plus a commemorative belt-buckle, at least until the buckles run out. 

As usual, everyone gets a commemorative number plate, a Dragonslayer 2023 sticker, and we are working to secure some sponsor swag as we speak. We may have enough that everyone gets something or we may need to raffle it off. We shall see.

There will be T-shirts you can order. And as always, the jersey will be available for order after your event There will be a special notation for the 100-mile finish compared to the normal triple.

Russell Park at Lake Georgetown, at the end of Park Rd #8.

We are riding COUNTER-CLOCKWISE this year.

The schedule:

Saturday December 14th, 2024

5:15am open for packet pickup

7:15am all distances start – required for triples and 100s

12:15pm cut off for starting any laps (2 or less only)  bring your lights!

11:15pm – cut off time for finishing any distance (16 hours total).
