On Saturday, August 12th, 2023, Ranger Wilson Sound Off (RWSO) invites you to join us in-person for our Inaugural Run/Walk/Ruck 5K and 10K!
Ranger Wilson Sound Off (RWSO) race series events raise money and collect donations of clothing to end homelessness for veterans.
Ranger Odell Wilson carried the POW/MIA flag in San Diego races since the early 2000's. In those years he also struggled to stay housed and was without shelter for long stretches, yet he continued to race for the cause of other veterans. Ranger Wilson, beloved of the running community passed from COVID on December 18, 2020. Now we will carry the flag in his honor and count cadence as we go. Donations and proceeds from the 5K and 10K RUN/WALK/RUCK will go to Ranger Wilson Sound Off to End Veterans Homelessness (RWSO).
Net proceeds from RWSO will go to PATH San Diego and Veteran's Village of San Diego. They provide transitional housing for our unhoused residents and veterans.
You may also bring donations to the race. Items to being would include:
New socks, lightly used shoes and toiletries for men and women, especially feminine hygiene products.
